I've been telling people ever since the Flaming Lips album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots came out, that the song "Fight Test" sounded an awful lot like Cat Stevens amazing tune "Father and Son". And most of the people just kind of blew me off, or disagreed, like that idiot hippy, when I told him that the Meat Puppets were like the punk rock Grateful Dead.

Then I just read that Cat was suing the lips for that same familiarity, and that they had settled out of court. ("El Gato" will receive half the royalties.)

I keep saying that if you listen to what I'm saying, I will show the way to all of you Peter Framptons out there. I'm not just talking because I feel like babbling incoherently, or because I want to hear my own voice. I'm telling you because I like you. I'm trying to enlighten you. I'm trying to let you in on my cool little useless secrets.
