2003-01-31 | OREO'S, KETCHUP & GRITZ

2 food issues:

Doesn't Oreo's new coffee and cream oreo's sound disgusting?

Do they even have a chocolate swirl one yet? If not, they should try that first.

The coffee one is scary looking.

Next--Ketchup & Hot Dogs.

I have always loved ketchup on hot dogs. They had a big debate about it on an episode of Ed a few weeks ago.

I'm curious to know what you guys put on your hot dogs. Drop me a line and let me know what you eat on your dogs.

Sometimes I eat mine plain, but if I do put condiments on, I almost always include ketchup.

Now a music thing.

I've acquired a slew of cds over the past couple months from Columbia House, BMG and a couple of other sources.

I don't know if "slew" is the correct word".

Or if that's the right spelling.

Actually, I'm not 100 percent sure it's even a word, but here are my new albums anyway, with my ratings for them. Some of the ratings may be unfair, because I've only listened to some of these once:

Wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 4 stars

Sum 41 Does This Look Infected 3.5 scars

GZA Legend of the Liquid Sword 3.5 mics (for some reason my album says explicit lyrics on it, but I accidentally got the edited version. I was ripped-off. But he doesn't swear that much, so it's not a huge deal. Just odd.)

Scarface the Fix 3.75 mics

Nas Illmatic 4 mics

Nappy Roots Watermelon, Chicken and Gritz 3.75 mics

Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band Trout Mask Replica 3.75 stars

the Bloodhound Gang Hooray for Boobies 3.75 thingies

the Replacements Tim 4 mats

Big Star #1 Record/Radio City 4 BIG stars

Talib Kweli Quality 4 black stars

the Roots Phrenology 4 mics

Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works Volume II 3.75 stars (I was expecting a lot more out of this. It's a beautiful album, but I expect more ambition from RDJ. It was almost too mellow.)

Bob Dylan Love and Theft 4 leopard skin pill box hats

Ben Folds Rockin' the Suburbs 3.25 stars (I expected it to rock the suburbs a little harder....but it's a fine album)

Wilco Being There 4.5 stars

Richard Thompson Mock Tudor 4 stars

De La Soul De La Soul is Dead 4.25 mics

Ween White Pepper 3.75 stars

Barenaked Ladies Born on a Pirate Ship 3.25 stars

Musiq Soulchild Aijuswanaseing 4 stars

Belle and Sebastian If You're Feeling Sinister 4 stars

Clutch Pure Rock Fury 3.5 stars

Foo Fighters One By One 3.75 stars
