you need to find some qualities within you to see if you're ready for friends

the real ones will change your perspective on life

not tell you everythings alright while they sharpen the knife

they'll give you a reason to think differently

and you'll be able to finally sleep innocently

the guilt will be exumed from your soul

and you will find the evil in the ones you used to know

it's funny how they preach about what's not right

and they feel so bad about themselves at the end of the night

it doesn't matter, because we gain from their loss

it's just a shame when people contradict the way of the cross

they live by the ways of god

but everything about them says fraud

why does this game need to be played?

why do good people have to be slayed?

why do so many winners lose?

why must we learn by getting abused?

why can't we be rewarded for our innocence?

and commended for being nice, and having common sense?

we shouldn't be punished for caring too much

or getting evil looks from everybody we touch

i can't gain any ground if it's all been shredded

we need more shovels to dig out all the lies that are imbedded

because those of us who care will repair

any previous damages that aren't impaired

we'll grow some new grass, and plant some new seeds

and get you any resources you think you'll need

unless you devote your life to false ideals
