an excerpt from one of my guestbook signings to RYAN :

i caught dashboard confessional unplugged on mtv2 one day, and i almost threw up. the kids had these stupid looks on their faces, and were whining the lyrics, and you couldn't even hear chris carabba, which normally would be a good thing for some people, but in this case was just nauseating. i still have the cd, i haven't gotten around to selling it. i feel ashamed to sell it too, because the guy at the record store will laugh at me for even having it in the first place. it was a momentary lapse of reason. but the whole dash-bored phenomenon has just been blown out of proportion. even SPIN from one issue to the next praised them, then dissed them. I hate his Jamie Walters look, too. "how do i talk to an angel...." I have to get rid of that album as soon as possible, and cleanse my household of his greasy haired evil!
