The funny thing about love is that when you've found your true one, all the romantic things you've always dreamt of doing for the one who would be yours, whenever the day would come that you would find them, aren't quite as necessary once that day arrives.

It's more exciting giving something to the one you love on a day other than their birthday, anniversary or Valentine's day, because they're not expecting it, and it's that kind of spontaneity and thoughtfulness that makes stuff on the other days not as essential. Of course on their birthday you want to do something special, because it's a celebration of the day that brought them to this world which eventually led to them arriving in your personal world. And I'm sure anniversaries will be more meaningful once we're married, but Valentine's day is no big deal. Fuck valentine's day.
