Christmas Eve. Actually, It's officially Christmas now. 3:37 AM. Watching bad TV.

When No Doubt made this new video did anybody tell them Korn made the same video like a year and a half ago? (Jonathan Davis/Gwen Stefani killing off band members one by one)

I think Gwen Stefani ran over Tony Kamal because he was going to that mansion where they had the orgy in Eyes Wide Shut. She knew he was up to no good.

Fuse sucks. I called the cable company a few weeks ago and told the operator that I wanted my MTV (2). I said that they actually played videos on there. He said "You have MTV hits now!" I was like "MTV 2 plays good videos." Some people have no concept of the other, cooler world that exists in the hearts of people like you and me. It must be sad to be them.

Stephanie was off today, but I had to work, but at least we got to spend the morning together. Tomorrow I work again, but she works early in the morning, so I'll have even less time to spend with her. But at least we have each other. You have to take the positives when you're stuck in a rut. I don't necessarily mean "stuck in a rut" in a bad way. I mean at least I have a set schedule now, and I don't need to wake up early. But by god, I should be rocking the fucking stage by now in my own rock and roll band. Or writing for a music rag. I hate the term "music rag", but so many cool (and lame) people have used it in the past that I have been conditioned. You can call me Pavlov's dog. And Eddie when you call me you can call me Al.

One of the most overplayed songs of all time is Foo Fighters "All My Life". It was part of an ongoing trend that happens on modern rock radio nowdays because the fucking kids aren't alright, and they don't know shit. They finally start to recognize a band years after they started, and years after they were already good, and they mistake a lackluster effort as the next in their great line of hits, but their ears are so unseasoned that they don't know underachievement when they hear it. Some people claim that this was their greatest album, also. They are so very sadly mistaken. It's a good album, but it's probably their worst. Sorry to burst your bubble, Punky. This video sure is lame, too.

So work was okay tonight. Except for the predictable late surge of idiots ordering room service, having no concept that we may be trying to go home and be with our families, and not do something as stupid as ordering room service at the 23rd hour.

I can see it a little on Christmas Eve, but anybody who bothers us with phone calls tomorrow needs to be shot.

I went to K-Mart after work to literally do some last minute Christmas shopping. It wasn't as dismal as I thought. People were in decent spirits.

You know what's hard to find?

A Christmas Card made for "Parents of girlfriend". It doesn't exist. I had to buy one under the extremely broad category of "friend".

It's kind of ironic, because we were at a baptism a few weeks ago, and her dad was introducing me to somebody, and he called me "Stephanie's friend", although her and I are clearly future husband and wife, for anybody with a pulse and/or vision. Her dad is a very smart man, and has a pulse and vision, but I guess he doesn't care and/or approve. That sucks. I bought them a card anyway, thanking them for the help they've given me this year, which is undeniable, even if their disapproval of me as her one and only homie is unacceptable.

Anyway, it was a decent Christmas. Not too depressing. It's probably better that I'm working, so I won't have time to think of all the fun everyone is having in Hawaii without me. Although when I'm in Hawai'i, Christmas usually gets depressing after about 11 am, or whenever the present opening is over, whichever one comes first.

I liked the chick from Distillers better when she was Courtney Love. Actually I never liked either one of them. Well I liked a couple Hole songs from Live Through This, but anyway, the point is both of those dames are annoying. And I never liked Distiller chick or any of their songs. And I'm disappointed with her new boyfriend. And I'm happy for her ex-husband for being free of all that (artificial) drama. How can anybody like that new song by them? Her voice is herrendous. The music is decent, but it's nothing new. It's a fucking product. She is a product. She's got a nice rack. That doesn't mean anything. Why are you people lying? It's not good. It's not new. It's not punk. It's not the revolution. I guess that's why it's televised.

I love you all. Loyalty rules. Thanks if you've stayed that way. I'm guilty of not always being that way, but I try my best. So thank you for being stronger than me. Thank's for reading my diary. Thank you for drinking Coca Cola. That's a product too. But it's damn tasty.
