Katie Couric is talking to N.Y. Governor George Pataki on the Today Show about the power outage, and there is about a 6 or 7 second delay between the end of her questions and the start of his answers. Katie was in New York City and Pataki was in Albany. What the fuck? Maybe after they figure out how to stop the entire East Coast from being pitch black they can figure out how to restore communications within the same goddamn state. Fucking embarrasing. It's like when I call somebody in Hawaii and it sounds like they're in my living room, but I call my girlfriend down the street and it sounds like she's in the middle of World War III. Also, apparently the citizens of the affected states are noble because they didn't do anything crazy during the blackout. The criminals will be glad when all power is restored. They can get back to business.
