2002-12-08 | ROOM WITH A REVIEW

I'd like to thank Cara from diary reviews for giving my diary a favorable review. I'd almost say a rave review, if it wasn't for her completely right on comments about my layout.

I've always thought it was cluttered, too, but everytime I would ask someone, they would say "no". But I agree with her. The only reason I don't have index pages is because I don't know how to do the extra pages without having all that stuff on my regular page on there. I was trying to figure that out last night, ironically. That's the reason I put all those silly pictures above my links. I figure it makes it more acceptable that I don't have them on separate pages.

And the picture of the old black guy in venice beach is supposed to be just plain slapstick. It doesn't mean anything. I just like the picture. It makes me laugh.

I didn't really steel witch medics design and change it and stuff. I just figured out how to do stuff gradually, then I got a gold membership and figured out even more. I give her all the credit in the world for starting me off. If I was really stealing her stuff, I probably would have my stuff indexed better, which I suck at.

But you loved my writing which makes me happy. That was the most important thing for me. I can live with the crappy design. I take so much more pride in my writing, and I am honored when people love it. I love writing so much. I love getting feedback, which is why I submitted it to diary reviews. And I'm glad you gave me a 5/5 on "would I come back". That means a lot.

I got a 90, which was the second highest score of the day (95), and on the one that ranked higher then me, you only gave it a 4/5 on the "would I come back" question. So I'll take massive pride in knowing that mine gave you a little more satisfaction. Or maybe it's because she doesn't update enogh. Either way, I am very happy with the score Cara gave me, even though she was mean to my MEG!!!!!!
