Can you smell the scent of me

yelling for one more

can you see the look in me

as i hit the floor

as my face connects with rock

cement and blood don't blend

i'll have a bruise tomorrow morning

and a broken jaw to mend

i'm looking for a scar

and i was asking for that punch

an apologies not far

we'll talk about it over lunch

as i peel the scab off me

i feel a sense of pride

now that i live miles away

there's nothing left to hide

my ego will be scarred for life

regardless of what leaves

now that memories start to fade

it's easier to grieve
