I think this is a song I wrote while I was in Oregon, and I had the hi-jinx of the Gallagher Bros. in mind. "LIAM & NOELS COMEDY HOUR (MARMALADE BOOGIE WOOGIE)" Welcome to the comedy hour at the Oasis Our host for the evening isn't quite clear (or here) We got one guy here, I'm not sure what his name is He has an accent, and keeps ranting something about "queers" His brother is pretty cool, sometimes. But, I don't see him He must be fighting with the other guy Either that or-oh I think his name is Liam And "he", his name is Noel, there he goes, say "hi" Sometimes they make music with each other Sometimes they're out of tune Sometimes they abuse their relationship as brothers Sometimes they destroy the room Don't take it personal when they don't make eye contact They can't even stand each others presence Don't call the cops when these animals attack To them, the "fuzz" are a bunch of peasants If they seem bored, don't let them fool you They're laughing on the inside (to the bank) They would never do anything to jeopardize their ill repute They're in the same class as Al, Dave and Hank To show you a soft side would be a mistake Career suicide in the truest sense Character damaging, disgrace in the making Playing the fool keeps it loose, being true makes it tense Being yourself isn't always the best thing to be Especially when everyone hates you Hating yourself doesn't make much sense to me Somebody else has got to disgrace you It's a test to make you stronger in time For someone to show you the worst Your enemy could be your partner in crime You're best friend could be a curse
