this was written a long time ago. one of my first writings. probably in the aftermath of my first heart break.

"TWO MILES THAT WAY"

2 miles that way, you will see it....

2 more days until we fall into that trap

one too many times i had to see it...

something i didn't believe in

i couldn't believe in you yet

i'm treading, i'm treading...i'm trying not to drown....i'm dreading the day (yeah, yeah), I will have to fight on my own

2 miles that way there's a big mistake

we didn't know you'd be heading straight towards it

3 more days 'til the people start to cry

ate a ton of bricks and still don't know the lies

the blood is so gruesome, the pit is full of flies

bodies full of maggots, and the skin pulled over our eyes

brains are for food, for animals like you

2 more times until you come to your senses

sensing something dreadful coming to your defenses

chorus-(i'm treading.........)

what a surprise, dig it up from the ground

do you hear that dreadful sound from around?

shrieking out due north, that way

miles gone, and more hell to pay

that day is gone

we know we're wrong

but it's so damn tempting

but it's so damn cool to be strong

(wow....i didn't know this was this good. i like it. especially for my early work. i like this. i impressed myself)
