i've been thinking about this one thing and putting it into a song for a long time. those situations where someone asks you a question, and when you start talking about it they act uninterested. that is one of the most annoying things of all time. why would you ask if you didn't want to hear it? i wrote the rest of the song while watching Ziggy Marley and Ben Harper on Sessions at west 54th. see if you can see the blatant plagerism of Robert Marley.....!

don't ask me a question then turn away...don't expect me to be cool with you at the end of the day. Why did you ask if you didn't care? What possessed me to believe you'd want me to share? Your threshhold for caring isn't as limited as mine. There's a "natural sadistic" mentality in the air. There's a shortage of love and of people who care. I don't want to know that you're normal...'Cos there's too many people around who dress and speak formal. I know that you're real, now show me that you're "out there" sometimes. You'll always end up the loser if you hate the game. Once you use your head and keep it straight...Your eyes will be sharp enough to catch a bit of fate. There was no mirage, just a bunch of stuff stuck together and taped...It was up to you to make the decision to separate. When the binding agreement is etched in bone...You've got to convince yourself that you're not that alone. Think of how useless they'd be to you anyway...You're better of with your own doubt any day.
