2004-09-01 | WILL YOU FARE WELL ON WELLFARE?
Hi. It's been awhile huh? Is anybody reading this thing anymore? Maybe I'll say dear diary from now on, because maybe he/she is the only one reading now days. Hi diary. How you been, dawg? I'm fine. Not much, just listening to Jurassic 5 and watching Kids in the Hall as the "music video". Whatchu dew inn? Dass koo. I got somemore feedback for the book project. One of the totally excellent bodacious dudes from MU330 sent me a list of their favorite things on tour today. One of the fellas from Buck 0' Nine will also be contributing soon. Those poor folks got their shit stolen by some scum bags in Vegas. They were nice enought to still contribute. They make me smile. Frankie from work is probably leaving soon, which sucks because he's one of the reasons why I like going to work. Our department and lately the hotel in general seems to be getting taken over by a bunch of rookies. Snobby, cocky, pretentious dirty rotten filthy stinkin' rich-kid rookies. It also reminds me how much I need to get my shit together. I've been talking over some game plans with him, because he's kind of doing what I want to be doing in the near future. Just in different fields. He's leaving to do graphic design, I wanna leave to do something in music and/or something involving creative writing. I've been talking to him about how I need to be surrounding myself with people who are interested in the same kind of thing. Even if it means taking a class at the community college so I can meet other creative dudes and dudettes. Frankie agrees. Hey, Victoria! If you're still reading, I meant to answer you months ago, and don't believe I did. Of course I know who Lester Bangs is and I'm honored that you would mention me in the same sentence as him. I strive to be as gnarly as him while being my own man at the same time. School is back in session. Someone needs to make a super rad rock n' roll song about going back to school. Alice Cooper is too old, and he's already too busy crooning his end of school song. I challenge the Darkness, or some other band out there to pen a song about going back to school and making it rock at the same time. Oh I just remembered! (with a little help from Mike and Mike) Adam Sandler has written the best song about going to school of all time for the movie Billy Madison. "Back to school....back to school...to prove to dad that I'm not a fool...." Rock on Adam. Rock the fuck on. Peace out, scrubs. (for all of you who watched NBC's greatest current sitcom tonight, you might get that.) Just so nobody thinks I was being mean when I said "scrubs", I will now bid you farewell. Literally. "Farewell"
