I always notice that people aren't saying things the way I'm used to hearing them.

Then I remember that the way I'm thinking of is the way my dad used to say it, and I've always kind of thought people should say things the way my dad used to.

Because he was such a cool guy.

He was so money and he didn't even know it, baby. Well...he kind of knew it, but that's beside the point.

He had so many friends, and he had great taste, and he was always willing to help out people. So nearly everything he said was gospel.

Hearing the way he talked is one of the many things I miss about him.

His way of greeting me was often "What's new in the news?"

I always wonder why people don't say this more often. People probably never say it unless they're talking about the actual news.

My dad did a lot of cool things. Like he probably could've been a Major League Baseball Player, but he was too busy raising a family. But the things that really exemplified the kind of guy he was were the little things. The way he handled certain situations.
